How it works

A fairer draw.
Life-changing wins for hundreds more.

Most lotteries pile almost everything onto one enormous jackpot for a single winner. We do the opposite: we cap the top prize at a sensible, life-changing amount and spread the rest, so far more people win amounts that genuinely matter.

The prize fund grows with every ticket — and so does the number of winners.

Every month

Here's what happens

1

Enter the monthly draw

Buy entries online in bundles — every entry is one equally-weighted chance. Buy more entries and you simply hold more equal chances. You never pay more for better odds; more entries just means more chances. There is also a postal entry route with the same chance of winning as any paid entry.

2

Every pound is accounted for

Before you enter, we show you exactly where every pound goes — 60p to the prize pool, 25p to the month's charity, 15p to platform and costs.

3

The draw

On the draw date, winners are chosen at random using a certified, independently-overseen process. The very first entry drawn wins the top prize. Then we keep drawing, awarding cash prizes down through the tiers until the prize pool is shared out.

4

The results are published in full

After every draw we publish the complete breakdown: entries by category, winners at each tier, and how much went to charity. Nothing hidden. You can see for yourself that free entries and paid entries win alike.

The money, made simple

For every £1 that comes in

60p
Prize pool

Paid out to winners every draw.

25p
Charity

A share to that month's cause, every draw.

15p
Platform & costs

Running the platform, payment fees and VAT.

So on a draw that raises, say, £100,000: £25,000 goes to charity, and £60,000 is shared out as prizes — a life-changing top prize plus hundreds of other cash winners. As the pot grows, the number of winners grows with it.

Why it's fair

The rules, in plain English

Every entry has the same chance.
Free or paid, posted or bought — one entry is one equal chance. We publish results so you can see it's true.
There's always a genuinely free way in.
Enter any draw for free by post, with the same chance of winning as anyone who pays. No purchase is ever necessary.
A sensible top prize, not an absurd one.
We cap the top prize at a life-changing sum rather than letting it balloon to amounts no one needs. The rest goes to creating more winners.
Charity, every time.
A share of every draw goes to a good cause, and we publish exactly how much.
No purchase necessary

Entering for free

To enter any draw for free, send a postcard or letter with your full name, address, postcode, email and the name of the draw to our free entry address (published in the Draw Rules). Each valid postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as any paid entry — and if a free entry wins, we'll show it in the published results.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Is Snaffle gambling?

No. Snaffle is a prize draw, not a lottery. Because there's a genuine free entry route with equal chances of winning, it sits outside gambling regulation under the Gambling Act 2005. (Subject to legal confirmation.)

Do I really have the same chance if I enter free?

Yes. Every entry — free or paid — has exactly the same chance of winning, and we publish the results after each draw so you can see it.

How is the winner chosen?

At random, using a certified process overseen independently. The first entry drawn wins the top prize; we then draw the rest of the prizes down through the tiers.

What if the top prize isn't matched?

It always is — the top prize is must-be-won every month. There's no rollover and no unwon jackpot.

When do I get paid?

Cash prizes are paid to your nominated UK bank account within 28 days of us verifying your win.
