Our mission

A big win for one.
Life-changing wins for hundreds more.

There's still a proper top prize on Snaffle — a genuinely life-changing sum. But the traditional lottery is designed to funnel money upward into one staggering headline, sometimes past £100 million, while millions of players get nothing that changes their week.

We think that's the wrong way round.

So as Snaffle grows, we cap the top prize at a sensible life-changing amount and share everything above it. One big winner — and hundreds more.

The problem we're fixing

A real Saturday night, real numbers

Take an ordinary Saturday on the UK's National Lottery: 20th July 2024. That night, the total prize pot was £10,336,124. Here is where it actually went.

Nearly a million "winners", and almost all of them received nothing they could spend. This isn't a bad night — it's the design. The whole model is built to funnel money upward into one enormous, headline-grabbing prize, because a vast jackpot sells tickets. When nobody wins, it rolls over and grows, sometimes past £100 million, and is eventually handed to a single ticket holder.

No one needs £100 million. But a lot of people could use £5,000, £10,000, or £50,000.

How Snaffle is different

Cap the top. Lift the middle. Never leave the many with nothing.

01

A sensible ceiling

The top prize is capped at a life-changing figure — enough to clear a mortgage, change a family's future, genuinely transform a life. But not a distorting, absurd sum that helps no one more than the cap already would.

02

Everything above cascades

When a draw would have produced a jackpot bigger than the cap, that extra money doesn't inflate one prize into the stratosphere. It flows into the tiers below. As Snaffle grows, we don't build a bigger jackpot — we build more winners.

03

Always won, always shared

Every draw pays out. Where we can, we aim for a floor of at least 500 meaningful winners, growing as the pot grows. Real money, real people, every single draw.

The same money, shared our way

One giant winner — or hundreds of life-changing ones

The traditional way

1 winner takes £7.23m

Of a £10.3m pot on 20 July 2024, one ticket took 70%. 900,510 'winners' got £0.

The Snaffle way

A big winner — and hundreds more

Still a proper top prize, capped at a life-changing sum. Every pound above the cap cascades down, so winning actually means something to far more people.

1 + hundreds
a big winner, plus many more

Same money in. A completely different idea of who deserves to win.

Fair by design

The rules, in plain English

  • A genuine free entry route, always.
Every entry — free or paid — has exactly the same chance of winning. Buy more entries and you simply hold more equally-weighted chances. Never pay a penny more for better odds.
  • A share to good causes, every draw.
Published openly, with local and national options.
  • Full transparency.
See the pot, the tiers, the odds and the cause before you enter.
  • 18+ only, and built for healthy play.
Age-gated entry and sensible spending controls.
Our mission, in one line

To spread life-changing money to as many people as possible — never to pile it all on one.
