Official Rules

The rules that govern every Snaffle Monthly Draw.

DraftSnaffle-adapted first draft, not yet reviewed by a solicitor. Bracketed items are placeholders. Do not rely on this document for legal purposes until it has been signed off by qualified UK gambling counsel.

1. The Promoter

The Snaffle Monthly Draw (the "Draw") is promoted by [Snaffle Legal Entity Ltd], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [•]) with its registered office at [address] (the "Promoter", "we", "us"). The Promoter is licensed by the Gambling Commission under licence number [•].

2. Eligibility

  • You must be aged 18 or over.
  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland).
  • Employees of the Promoter, its group companies, its scrutineers and their immediate families may not enter.
  • You may hold only one active Snaffle account. Duplicate accounts and duplicate entries from the same person will be void.

We may ask you to prove your age and identity at any time. If we cannot verify you, your entries and any prize will be forfeited.

3. How to enter

There are two ways to enter each monthly Draw:

3.1 Paid entry

Buy an entry bundle at snaffle.win/enter-subscription as a one-off Single Purchase or as a monthly Subscription. Entry counts and prices for each bundle are shown on that page and form part of these Rules. Subscribers are entered automatically into every Monthly Draw until they cancel.

3.2 Free postal entry

No purchase is necessary. On a plain postcard, or a single sheet of paper in an envelope, write clearly your full legal name, address (not a PO Box), city, postcode, email address and the wording "Snaffle Monthly Draw — [month, year]". A telephone number is optional. Post it, at normal first- or second-class rate, to:

Snaffle Free Entry — [month, year]
c/o [Independent Scrutineer]
[PO Box number]
[Town]
[Postcode]

A maximum of one entry per postcard or envelope is allowed. There is no limit on the number of postal entries any one person may make. Postal entries must be received before the postal cut-off shown for the relevant Draw. Illegible, incomplete or bulk-submitted entries will be rejected and we will not notify you if your entry is invalid. Each valid postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid entry.

4. Draw dates and closing times

One Monthly Draw is held each calendar month. Online entries close at 23:59:59 (UK time) on the last day of the entry month shown on the Draw page. The corresponding postal cut-off is 17:00 (UK time) on the same date. The Draw itself is conducted within [•] working days of the closing date.

5. Prize pool

The prize pool for each Monthly Draw is funded from a fixed percentage of net ticket revenue for that month, as published on our Transparency page. The pool is split between one top prize and hundreds of smaller prizes. The smallest tier pays a guaranteed £25. The advertised top prize is an estimate based on projected ticket sales — the final top prize will scale up or down with actual net ticket revenue and will be confirmed before each Draw.

6. How winners are chosen

Winners are chosen at random using a certified random number generator operated by our independent scrutineer, [Scrutineer name]. Every valid entry — paid or postal — has an equal chance of winning. The mechanics of the draw and audit trail are described on our Draw Rules page.

7. Notification and payment of prizes

Winners are notified by email at the address on their Snaffle account (or, for postal entrants, at the email address written on the entry) within [•] working days of the Draw. Prizes are paid by bank transfer to a UK account in the winner's name within [•] working days of us verifying the winner's identity and bank details. No fee is charged to notify or pay any winner.

If we cannot contact a winner or verify their identity within 90 days of the Draw, the prize will be forfeited and rolled into the next Monthly Draw pool.

8. Publicity

By entering the Draw you agree that, if you win, we may publish your first name, town of residence and the amount won. You are not required to take part in any further publicity and we will always ask before using your full name, photograph or story.

9. Cancellation and changes

We may cancel, suspend or amend the Draw if events outside our reasonable control make it necessary. If we do, we will publish notice on snaffle.win and, where a Draw is cancelled, refund paid entries for that Draw in full.

10. Complaints and disputes

Complaints about the Draw should be sent to hello@snaffle.win. Unresolved disputes may be referred to our alternative dispute resolution provider, [ADR provider], in accordance with Gambling Commission requirements.

11. Governing law

These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
